"Someday I will be the most powerful Jedi ever."
Over the years, many manufacturers have given their take of the Star Wars universe in the form of toys or collectables. Most have gone with the realistic look such as the Hasbro line of Star Wars action figures but this time Star Wars comes to us non-proportional and super cute in Hasbro's (formerly released by Playskool) line of Galactic Heroes.
The Anakin's Jedi Starfighter package is a cinema scene line of Galatic Heroes so it includes a number of small figurines that are also sold as small packs of 2 and usually a large item such as a monster or space craft (like the starfighter in this set).
Front of box:
Top of box:
The starfighter, Anakin, R2D2, Battle Droid, and big yellow Proton Bomb.
Back of Box:
A made up story for a starfighter not piloted by Anakin in the movie
Jedi Starfighter:
Interestly R2D2 is molded into the Starfighter already. A yellow bomb is included which can be put inside the starfighter from the bottom. Pushing R2D2's head will release the bomb.
Battle Droid, R2D2, and a big yellow bomb in the foreground:
Like all Galactic Heroes characters, articulation is limited to arms or legs rotating up or down. Hands are pre-sculpted to hold a weapon or have a closed fist.
Nothing sets this apart from other sets in the Galactic Heroes cinema set. I know that Obi-Wan flies this Jedi Starfighter in Episode II: Attack of the Clones but I don't recall Anakin ever flying one. Hasbro probably released this since they had to do something with this mold after they released it with Obi-Wan (which I have not yet reviewed). It's a forgetable vehicle that isn't, to my memory, featured in the movie so this should be a pass to Star Wars collectors unless you're trying to collect all the cinema sets.
